Kaleigh Brendle (She/Her)
Kaleigh is so grateful to contribute to the work of the NABS board, and to continue serving the Federation in this role. She first found the Federation in 2020 when she, along with their legal team, filed federal class complaints against the College Board, challenging their decision to revoke critical accommodations for blind students taking the Advanced Placement exams that May. She is honored to have received a national scholarship in 2021, and to have had the opportunity to intern with the Governmental Affairs division in 2023. She recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Villanova University as a new member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society and as an honored recipient of the Gustavo Gutierrez Award for Excellence in her major. She is so grateful for the opportunity to pursue training at the Louisiana Center for the Blind this year, and she aspires to become a disability rights attorney and follow in the footsteps of one of her Federation mentors and role models, Tim Elder. In her free time, Kaleigh enjoys songwriting, creative writing, and watching any and all programming tied to the Bachelor franchise.
